Research and Development Projects

We have a diverse background in project management and coordination as we work on several different kinds of projects of different sizes and from different areas. We have experiences with working on research and development projects on a national level.

Project Name: CGS Labs Eureka

Time frame: July 2018 – currently still running
Value: 657,432 €
Description: This is an IT research and development project aimed at developing an innovative model and a web service that will enable real-time forecasting of road surface temperatures for sections of each 30 metres of road. One of the biggest challenges in the road meteorology is how to enable road surface condition forecasting for the whole road network (route-based forecasts). A model that would enable real-time road weather forecasting of road surface temperatures for each section of 30 metre of the road would therefore represent a dramatic technological shift for RWIS/MDSS systems.
The planned results of the project are:
– an Intelligent route-based forecast model (i-RBF module) and
– an Intelligent route-based forecast cloud service (i-RBF web service)

Project Name: SOLS Smart Outdoor Living Station

Time frame: Feb 2017 – Feb 2019
Value: 441.732 €
Description: This was a research and development project whose aim was the development of a “Smart Outdoor Living Station” which would contribute to the development of smart cities.
Smart Outdoor Living Station is a structure that encompasses:
– Energy distribution (power bank)
– Covering blind WiFi spots even in the most remote locations
– Care for health and prevention of skin cancer (ozone layer issues)
– Care for society, socializing with a motive – all in one place
– It is self sufficient through solar energy so it can be placed anywhere, anytime

Project Name: LigitPay (Crypto POS Terminal)

Time frame: May 2017 – currently still running
Value: 1.135.384 €
Description: This is an IT research and development project aimed at developing a high tech system called LigitPay with an Omni Payment Gateway interface. The result will be a POS terminal which will integrate a higher number of e-payment providers (i.e. crypto currencies, e-wallets, and the like), with one communication protocol and one safe connection on a multiPOS terminal.

Time frame: September 2017 – currently still running
Value: 1.356.060 €
Description: This is an IT research and development project aimed at developing a UHUB – a transnational service platform for digital mail transformation and the localization of the economy.

Project Name: SmartDataCentre

Time frame: September 2017 – currently still running
Value: 1.397.317 €
Description: This is an IT research and development project aimed at developing container micro data centres that will offer an alternative to the “data cloud”. It will help solve the problems of data security and privacy as well as working with the “data cloud” after it will not be able to process all of the information in it anymore.

Time frame: October 2016 – December 2018

Description: This was a research and development project aimed at developing an ergonomically designed designer chair and sound panels with the use of waste as an industrial material of the future, using only recycled materials and having absolutely no use of harmful materials (glues, oils, etc.).

Description: This was a research and development project aimed at producing multifunctional lighting acoustic barriers with integrated electrical circuits.

IT Projects

Project Name: Vendotel

Time frame: October 2016 – January 2017
Value: 10 million €
Description: This was an IT project aimed at developing a 3rd generation smart kiosk for public use, with payphone, selling of parking and public fare tickets, Wi-Fi and other services. One of its aims was also to help develop smart cities of the future.

Project Name: Project Bikn

Time frame: June 2016 –July 2018
Value: 85.000 €
Description: This was an IT project in the area of Internet of Things, aimed at developing a new system of mobile phone location tracking via beacons, which could then offer recommendations on shopping, tourism, events and transport nearby, through an app.

Project Name: Project e-manager (e-upravnik)

Time frame: June 2016 – July 2018
Value: 78.000 €
Description: This was an IT project aimed at developing a programme platform called e-upravnik (E-Manager) that provides an integrated management service for multi-dwelling buildings and housing units. The system lowers management costs and increases transparency compared to current, traditional systems.

Description: This was an IT project aimed at optimizing electromotors made for electric ships.

Description: The aim of the project was to set up and implement a business plan and attain venture capital from a foreign investor for the company’s product – high performance electric wheels for electric vehicles.

Project Name: FUKSi (Festival of Urban Culture Slovenia)

Description: The aim of the project was the creation, establishment and realisation of the Festival of Urban Culture Slovenia, which is now an annual occurrence and is meant to help put Slovenia on the map as a cultural-festival destination.

Description: The ain of the project was the development and realisation of a new innovative tourist product in the culinary area, where different Slovenian regions presented their traditional regional food in other regions, by way of food trucks.

Project Name: RIS Kočevje LYNX

Description: The aim of the project is the development and realisation of an innovative integral tourist product – a special adrenaline park type experience simulating special forces training and missions, and offering clients several different packages that include diving, caving, climbing, shooting and nature survival.

Description: The aim of the project is the development and realisation of an innovative integral tourist product – an exhibition site offering 7 of the most key tourist experiences in Slovenia, all in one place.

Project Name: Innovative tourism in Bela krajina

Description: The aim of the project is the development and realisation of an innovative integral tourist product – “My Bela Krajina Experience”: an experience built on the concept of active leisure time for families with an emphasis on preserving cultural heritage.

Description: The aim of the project was the development and realisation of an innovative integral tourist product – an experience built on the concept of active leisure time for families with an emphasis on preserving cultural heritage.

 

The investment is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union under the European Regional Development Fund
